Aggie Days are annual, hands-on events designed for children and families. Alberta participates in two separate Aggie Days—one in Calgary and another in Lethbridge, in the month of April. Calgary’s Aggie Days ran April 10–14, 2013 and saw 40,000 visitors to Stampede Park over five days. Lethbridge’s Aggie Days was held April 23–24, 2013 and was experienced by over 2,000 participants.

Aggie Days is the premier event for urban kids to learn about life in the country. Participants will enjoy a fun mix of interactive agriculture that includes cow milking, sheep shearing, a book corner, a corn maze and other farm animals. Alberta Barley took part in both events, helping to educate youngsters on the value of barley and agriculture in our lives.
