Economic and Health Modelling: COVID-19

Posted on Apr 10 By: Victoria Decker

Federal Modelling seems to predict a later ‘relaunch’ of the economy – nationally. They have suggested that physical distancing and quarantine measures may have to prevail until a vaccine is developed, which could take more than a year still. They predict this first wave to last until the summer, with other outbreaks erupting.

Jason Kenney has looked to other countries like Taiwan, South Korea and Singapore as a model which would indicate a willingness to relaunch the economy while continuing to practice preventative measures to decrease the expected resurgences of the virus.
