Cinnamon Swirls
Ingredients

2 cups whole grain barley flour

1 cup white flour

1/2 cup sugar

1 Tbsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

3/4 cup butter or margarine

2 large eggs
-
1/2 cup milk
-
To taste brown sugar
-
To taste cinnamon
-
To taste raisins (optional)
Directions

Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.

Crumble and mix butter into dry ingredients.

Crack two eggs into a measuring cup, then add milk to make 1 cup.

Add egg/milk mixture to dry ingredients and mix until a nice dough forms.

Press and roll dough into an approximately 12" x 8" rectangle.

Spread butter/margarine onto rolled dough, and then sprinkle generous amounts of brown sugar and cinnamon onto dough.

Adding a sprinkle of raisins is tasty as well.

Roll up dough into a tube shape, and slice into 12 sections.

Bake in a muffin tin for 15 to 20 minutes at 375F (190C).

Recipe makes 12 servings.
