Cream
together butter, sugars, soda, salt, spices and vanilla, then beat in egg. Stir in
remaining ingredients. These cookies spread a bit during baking, so space dough two inches
apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in a 350° F (180° C) oven.
Makes about three dozen cookies.
