Double-Chocolate Chip Cookies

baking soda

chocolate chips
walnuts or pecans

In a medium bowl, cream butter and shortening, and slowly add
sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a
separate bowl, then add to butter-sugar mixture. Stir in the chocolate chips and
nuts. Drop by spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º F for 10
to 12 minutes. Let cool on cookie sheet before removing. Yield: 4 dozen.
