Briefs on the Alberta Barley Commission's Policy Development Activities

The Alberta Barley Commission's portfolio of policy development activities is diverse. Grain marketing, transportation and handling, farm income, international trade, and environmental issues are some of the policy areas where the Commission's elected Directors are working on farmers' behalf.  The policy work of the Commission is driven by the objective to identify policy solutions that promote competitive markets, contribute to the industry's self-reliance, and strengthen the viability of farm operations.
