Eugene Boyko

The Eugene Boyko Memorial Scholarship exists to recognize and encourage students studying in the field of crop production and/or crop processing technology studies.

Eugene Boyko was Alberta Barley’s Region 5 Director from 1993 to 2000, and an Alberta Barley Delegate in 2001. He was known for his passionate commitment to agriculture and farming innovation, which earned him the nickname “Mr. Barley.”

Applicants must list the crop related courses they have taken, and explain how their program ties into crop production and/or crop processing technology. The recipient is selected on the basis of academic achievement.
