Agronomy is a multi-faceted discipline that encompasses many aspects of every agricultural operation. To make things easier, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) and Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development (AARD) staff members—including breeders, technicians and research scientists—are available throughout the province to answer any agronomy questions producers may have.
AARD’s Ag-Info Centre is an excellent resource that farmers can use to access crop specialists, agronomy information and other important agriculture services. The centre’s staff has extensive experience handling inquiries, and would be happy to help with even the most complex agricultural issues or connect you with a specialist.
The centre is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, and can be reached toll-free from anywhere in Alberta by calling 310-FARM (310-3276).
