Brownies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup whole barley flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 Tbsp water
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Sift together flour, cocoa, salt. 
  2. Add honey. 
  3. Stir in margarine, eggs, water and vanilla and beat until smooth. 
  4. Add nuts. 
  5. Grease bottom of an 8 x 8" (20 x 20 cm) pan and spread batter evenly in pan. 
  6. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. In a 325F (160C) oven, bake for 25 to 35 minutes.
