Honey Barley Bread for the Bread Machine


Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups water, fairly warm 
  •  2 Tbsp canola oil 
  •  3 Tbsp honey 
  •  1 Tbsp lemon juice 
  •  1 1/2 tsp salt 
  •  3 cups bread flour or all-purpose flour 
  •  1 cup Hamilton's barley flour 
  •  2 tsp active dry yeast
Note: To turn this into a fruit loaf, when the machine beeps, add 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/3 cup raisins, 2 Tbsp sunflower seeds, 2 Tbsp flax seeds, and 1 Tbsp dried apricot, chopped, (or any combination of dried fruit and seeds).

Directions

Add all ingredients to the inner pot in the order given or as recommended by the instructions for your bread machine. Set machine to bake as desired.
